Job summary

Hunt Electric Corporation seeks a Fabrication Designer 3 to lead design, development, and optimization of prefabricated electrical systems. You will drive fabrication-friendly solutions from concept to completion, collaborating with design, manufacturing, and field teams to improve installation efficiency and reduce field labor.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, problem-solving, and a hands-on approach to design for constructability.

Qualifications

• Two (2) year degree in electrical construction or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years in electrical design, product development, manufacturing, or VDC prefabrication environments.
• Experience in fast-paced, multi-project environments with field exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of custom electrical components and modular assemblies.
• Model using Revit, Inventor, or similar tools with fabrication-focused design.
• Review construction documents and ensure buildability and field value.
• Act as design lead for field teams; coordinate with project managers and kickoff meetings.
• Prepare shop drawings, BOMs, material take-offs, and schedules.
• Ensure NEC/OSHA compliance throughout design lifecycle.
