Job summary

The Boeing Company in Berkeley, MO is seeking a Lead System Designer to join the F-22 Raptor Mission System Design Team onsite. You will collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross‑functional peers to define and document complex avionics and mission system requirements and drive high‑quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
• Level 5 (Lead): 14+ years with bachelor’s degree or 12+ with master or 9+ with PhD.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.
• Active U.S. Secret Clearance or higher (preferred if active within last 2 years).

Responsibilities

• Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system and software requirements for F-22 avionics subsystems and weapon system architecture.
• Resolve technical issues through coordination with engineering using established processes.
• Define risk mitigation plans, monitor baseline plans and project performance.
• Brief customer and program leadership on status, risks, and needed actions.
• Coach and mentor engineers to drive high‑quality deliverables meeting milestones.
• Ensure traceability between MBSE models and final products.
