Job summary

ClearSight LASIK & Lens in Plano, TX seeks a Lead Surgical Technician to guide the surgical team and ensure safe, efficient procedures. You will work closely with surgeons, the Center Director, and operations leaders to drive daily workflow and quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate brings proven surgical tech leadership, a certification, and the ability to mentor staff while staying calm under pressure in a busy environment. On-call rotation and travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires leadership ability and experience mentoring or developing others.
• Experience as a Surgical Technician with strong technical knowledge.
• Proven ability to manage daily schedules and delegate tasks effectively.
• Comfort with fast-paced, emergent situations and strong communication with the team.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and team throughout procedural day.
• Coordinate daily surgical workflow and team assignments.
• Review daily schedule and delegate responsibilities to maintain balance.
• Collaborate with Center Director and managers to meet KPIs.
• Ensure OR and Laser Vision Correction areas are stocked with supplies and sterile instruments.
• Communicate needs to Surgical Operations Director.
• Support safe patient care by following surgical policies.
• Provide clear, respectful communication with surgeons and staff.
• Lead during tie-sensitive or emergent situations.
• Train and mentor team members and participate in cross-training.
• Stay current on surgical practices and standards.
• Step into team positions as needed.
