Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an Optics Engineer to perform optical feasibility studies for ongoing vehicle programs from Pre-PS to Job-1. You will collaborate with Studio, Suppliers, D&R and other engineers to deliver cost-effective lighting solutions and lead digital design reviews.

The role requires CAD awareness and experience with optics software (SPEOS, Lucidshape, Luciddrive). Strong communication with cross-functional teams is essential for cost, weight and timing balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/engineer with optics/CAE emphasis.
• Experience in automotive exterior lighting optics.
• Familiarity with optical tools and design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze exterior lighting optics and components.
• Lead optical feasibility studies for ongoing programs from Pre-PS to Job-1.
• Manage and review system-level optical tools (SPEOS, Lucidshape, Luciddrive, LMK).
• Lead live digital design reviews and resolve optical issues.
