Job summary

Morins Exteriors is seeking a Lead Residential Exterior Carpenter to oversee and perform siding, window, gutter, and exterior trim installation on residential projects in Proctor, Minnesota. This full-time W2 position combines hands-on work with leadership of a small crew, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to Morins' high craftsmanship standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in exterior carpentry or remodeling, with prior lead experience.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in residential exterior carpentry or related installation trades.
• Experience as a lead carpenter, crew leader, or supervisor preferred.
• Ability to direct a small crew, delegate tasks, and keep projects progressing efficiently.
• Strong skills in measuring, layout, cutting, fitting, and exterior product installation.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in installing gutters, siding, trim, flashing, and related exterior materials.
• Install windows and doors ensuring level, plumb, and weather seal.
• Ensure weatherproofing meets manufacturer requirements and standards.
• Plan layouts, measure, cut, fit, and install exterior materials accurately.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites and coordinate crew activities.
