Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) is seeking a Project Geologist to lead exploration programs and team activities in Nevada. The role focuses on project generation, delineation, and supervising field campaigns across exploration stages.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in metallic mineral exploration, strong leadership, and experience with Carlin-type or SEDEX-style deposits, plus proficiency in Leapfrog, ArcGIS Pro, and IOgas; English and Spanish reporting is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geological Engineering (required).
• 8+ years metallic mineral exploration experience; international exp preferred.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage geological teams across multiple projects.
• Experience with Carlin-type, sediment-hosted, SEDEX, or VMS deposits is preferred.
• Proven ability planning and executing drilling campaigns (RC and diamond).
• Proficient in geological software such as Leapfrog, ArcGIS Pro, IOgas.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geoscience teams across exploration programs.
• Design, plan, and oversee exploration activities focusing on project generation and delineation stages.
• Supervise field campaigns ensuring data quality, safety, and community relations.
• Evaluate exploration properties and advise on opportunities with high discovery potential.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations in English and Spanish.
