Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 13 years in a technical discipline or 15 years broad engineering experience.
• Experience translating requirements into test concepts, designs, procedures, hardware selections, and data requirements for mechanical/structural/materials/environmental testing.
• Strong test safety understanding and experience developing test plans, procedures, reports, SOPs.
• Strong communication and customer coordination skills; ability to train and guide others.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and initiative to drive strategic improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex experimental test projects of major complexity within established scope.
• Translate requirements into test concepts, designs, procedures, hardware selections, instrumentation, and data needs.
• Develop test plans, procedures, reports, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Apply advanced engineering principles to mechanical, structural, materials, and environmental testing.
• Provide direction to engineers and customers; make technically sound recommendations.
• Mentor engineers and technicians; promote safe and effective test practices.
• Develop improved test methods, standards, and practices to optimize technical, cost, and schedule requirements.
