Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience operating heavy machinery in excavation or construction.
• Thorough understanding of excavation safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and utility location procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site plans.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery such as backhoes, excavators, and trenchers for residential and commercial excavation work.
• Lead and supervise excavation crew members, providing training and ensuring safety compliance.
• Coordinate daily job site activities, site setup, traffic control, and utility location.
• Read and interpret blueprints and maps to plan accurate excavations.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely project completion.
• Conduct inspections to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure quality workmanship.
• Maintain equipment and report any maintenance needs.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating progress and addressing concerns.
