Job summary

Carrigan Excavating is seeking two Construction Foremen to lead field crews on residential, commercial, and government excavation projects across Southeast Colorado, based in Lamar, CO.

The Foreman will plan, coordinate, supervise, and execute job-site operations, ensuring safety, timely delivery, and adherence to budget. They serve as on-site leaders, guiding operators and laborers, maintaining quality, and reporting to management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in excavation or construction leadership preferred.
• Strong reading and interpretation of blueprints, layouts, and job scopes.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and site compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure crew members arrive prepared and on time.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily job site operations.
• Organize workflow and delegate tasks to operators and laborers.
• Maintain job progress to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Enforce safety protocols and OSHA compliance on sites.
• Communicate progress and updates to management.
• Provide on-site training and mentorship to crew members.
