Job summary

MetLife is seeking a Manager, Event Operations & Venue Technology to lead the operational strategy for event spaces across 200 Park Avenue, Warren, NJ, and Whippany, NJ. You will ensure reliable production support for hybrid events, earnings calls, and executive meetings, coordinating across Multimedia Engineering, Networking, and Collaboration teams.

Own the service delivery model, develop runbooks, training plans, and metrics to improve reliability, scalability, and attendee experiences

Qualifications

• Leadership of technical teams in high-visibility service environments.
• Proven ability to manage hybrid event operations and enterprise broadcasts.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination.
• Knowledge of collaboration/production tech such as Teams Rooms, video codecs, streaming workflows.
• Ability to perform under pressure during live events.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of event technology professionals supporting town halls, hybrid events, earnings calls, board meetings, and other high-visibility communications.
• Create a consistent, inclusive operating model enabling reliable event support across Warren and Whippany sites.
• Oversee readiness for event spaces, production workflows, staffing, escalation paths, and service quality.
• Coordinate with Multimedia Engineering, Networking, and Collaboration to ensure fit-for-purpose event tech.
• Develop runbooks, training plans, metrics, and lifecycle recommendations to improve reliability and scalability.
• Manage critical events from planning to on-site execution and post-event improvements.
