The Technology / ETL Lead will provide technical leadership for end-to-end data integration and engineering activities associated with Home Lending and FR Y-14M reporting modernization. The individual will collaborate with Solution Architects, Data Modelers, Business Analysts, Data Governance teams, Regulatory Reporting teams, and business stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and high-performance data processing solutions on GCP.
This role requires strong expertise in ETL architecture, cloud-native data engineering, mortgage servicing and origination data, regulatory reporting, and enterprise data governance practices.
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $105k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native ETL and data engineering solutions.
- Define enterprise data integration architecture and development standards.
- Provide technical leadership to Data Engineers, ETL Developers, and offshore delivery teams.
- Drive best practices around scalability, performance optimization, resiliency, and automation.
- Conduct code reviews and technical design reviews.
- Mentor engineering teams and establish development standards.
- Design and develop large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines supporting Home Lending and FR Y-14M reporting or similar regulatory.
- Build ingestion frameworks for batch and near-real-time processing.
- Develop reusable data transformation and enrichment frameworks.
- Implement source-to-target mappings and transformation logic.
- Support migration of legacy ETL platforms to GCP.
- Design integrated data pipelines from multiple source systems into BigQuery.
- Optimize high-volume data processing and transformation workloads.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline.
- Handson experience in ETL and Data Engineering.
- Experience in leading enterprise data engineering teams.
- Experience within Banking, Financial Services, or Regulatory Reporting domains.
- Experience supporting large-scale cloud migration initiatives.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- ETL & Data Engineering - ETL/ELT Architecture, Data Integration Frameworks, Data Transformation Design, Batch Processing, Data Reconciliation, Data Quality Frameworks, Metadata-Driven ETL Design
- Programming in Python, PySpark, SQL, Shell Scripting
- Databases experience in Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, BigQuery

- Experience in Home Lending modernization programs.
- Experience in regulatory reporting data ecosystems.
- Experience implementing cloud data platforms at enterprise scale.
- Understanding of enterprise data governance and control frameworks.
