Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field with five years of cost estimating experience on rail/heavy civil projects.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare independent cost estimates (ICE) at various stages for rail/transit projects.
  • Review bids, proposals, and change orders for reasonableness and contract compliance.
  • Develop parametric cost models, historical cost databases, and unit benchmarks.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Support change order negotiations with cost analysis documentation.
  • Participate in risk workshops and develop contingency recommendations.
  • Prepare cost estimating reports and presentations for management.
