Job summary

Synectics Inc. seeks an experienced Mechanical Estimator to prepare and review estimates and takeoffs for mechanical construction projects in the Springfield area. You will verify quantities, costs, labor, and subcontractor pricing, coordinating with vendors to ensure accurate quotations.

You will work with leadership to review estimates, meet deadlines, identify risks and cost-saving opportunities, and maintain estimating documentation to support bid preparation.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in mechanical estimating, preferably in mechanical contracting.
• Previous experience in a lead estimating capacity.
• Strong understanding of mechanical construction projects, materials, labor, and costs.
• Experience reviewing takeoffs and preparing customer-ready estimates.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership, project teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
