Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an Estimating Manager 1 for our Advanced Facilities team in the Beaverton, OR area. You will prepare cost estimates for bids and negotiated proposals, then apply company processes to deliver comprehensive estimates for major projects.

You will read drawings, outline specs, and coordinate with vendors/subcontractors while building value through economical, accurate estimates and profitable preconstruction strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• 3+ years estimating experience with a preference for 5+ years in construction.

Responsibilities

• Prepares complex cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals.
• Develops and manages scopes of work for all trades, including responsibility matrix, pricing, bid solicitation and coordination.
• Gains field operational exposure through onsite project support.
• Collaborates with operations and field staff to develop economical construction methods.
