Job summary

Anne Arundel County in Annapolis, MD, is seeking a full-time Equipment Operator II in Waste Management Services. This is safety sensitive and involves operating medium to heavy construction vehicles such as roll-off, bulk trucks, rear loading, backhoe, loader, and forklift, with extensive public contact. Weekend overtime is required and candidates may supervise a crew.

Education: sufficient to follow oral and written instructions. Experience: two or more years operating medium-duty equipment.

Qualifications

• Education: Sufficient education to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Experience: Two (2) or more years of experience in the operation of medium-duty motor equipment.
• Additional Requirements: A valid commercial Class B motor vehicle operator's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate medium and heavy construction vehicles and equipment listed (roll-off, bulk trucks, rear loading, backhoe, loader, forklift).
• Provide customer service and direct public at waste facilities.
• Work weekends overtime as required.
• Coordinate with supervisors and may supervise crew as needed.
