Job summary

Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12- Special Projects is seeking an experienced equipment operator for the Grounds Maintenance and Construction Division. You will operate motor graders, tractors, trailers, backhoes, and other heavy machinery to grade fields, roads, and sites, and assist with construction and maintenance tasks.

You will serve as a lead worker, providing guidance and supervision to other operators, and perform preventive maintenance and variety of manual tasks including irrigation,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, with 2–3 years of heavy equipment operation.
• Class A CDL issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Certification as a State Category 60 Registered Technician required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to grade fields, roads, and sites.
• Lead workers and supervise operators as needed.
• Perform construction/maintenance tasks and minor preventive maintenance.
• Assist with snow removal and train less experienced operators.
