Job summary

HireQuest Direct is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction/industrial team. You will operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, and other machinery for site preparation, grading, trenching, and material movement.

Responsibilities include performing pre-operation inspections, following plans, and maintaining a safe, organized job site. OSHA and company safety standards apply; a background check and drug screen are required.

• Adhere to OSHA and site/company safety standards.
• Background Check & Drug Screen Required.

We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction/industrial team. In this role, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, and other specialized equipment to perform tasks related to site preparation, grading, trenching, material movement, and other construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment efficiently and safely in accordance with project specifications and safety protocols
• Perform pre-operation inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
• Follow project plans, blueprints, or instructions from supervisors to complete work accurately
• Load and unload materials, dig trenches, backfill excavations, grade surfaces, and perform other earthmoving tasks
• Maintain a clean and safe job site and assist with general labor duties as needed
• Ensure equipment is stored properly and secured at the end of each shift
• Work in coordination with site supervisors, laborers, and other operators to complete projects on time
• Adhere to all OSHA, site-specific, and company safety standards and procedures
