Job summary

Maryland Environmental Service is hiring a Lead Equipment Operator at the Prince Georges County Organics Composting Facility in Upper Marlboro, MD. This role provides equipment operation services for MES clients at field locations and leads equipment operation activities on site.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with five years of heavy equipment experience, a valid driver's license with fewer than 5 points, and a valid Class A CDL license.

Job Description:

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Lead Equipment Operator at the Prince Georges County Organics Composting Facility located in Upper Marlboro, MD. This position provides equipment operation services for MES clients at field locations.

Estimated Pay Range: $58,028.88 - $79,781.52

Minimum Requirements:
  • Graduation from a standard high school or GED plus five (5) years of experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.
  • Must have a valid Class A CDL license.
Preferred Qualifications include:
  • Minimum of three years experience operating and maintaining wheeled loaders, excavators and horizontal grinders.
