Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation's JLG division in North Carolina seeks a Mechanic I to perform basic repairs, calibration, and maintenance on equipment. This role will lead the team in diagnosis and repairs, guiding Assemblers to deepen troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge.

In a manufacturing setting, you will follow work instructions, ensure quality and safety, and support inventory accuracy while handling overtime as needed. The position emphasizes safety, hands-on learning, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• 1 year of basic experience with hydraulics, electrical, gas and diesel systems.
• Strong math skills and basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site.

Responsibilities

• Completion of activity-based repairs and service requirements as delineated on sales change orders.
• Install various equipment accessories (decals, mud flaps, cameras, lights).
• Follow verbal and written work instructions.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Must be able to lift the safe and permissible weight and stand/walk long distances.
• Aid in maintaining inventory accuracy through data entry.
