Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation, maker of JLG access equipment, invites applications for a Mechanic I at our Georgia facility. You will perform basic repairs, calibration, and maintenance on equipment, supervise Assemblers, and help diagnose faults to support safe, reliable operations.

The role requires at least 1 year in hydraulics/electrical/gas/diesel, a high school diploma, math skills, and willingness to OT. You will use tools like Multimeter, pressure tester, and analyzer, and may drive a forklift as

Qualifications

• 1 year of hydraulics, electrical, gas and diesel experience.
• Strong math skills and basic mechanical aptitude.
• Willing to overtime including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance, on-site.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Completion of activity-based repairs and service requirements as delineated on sales change orders.
• Install various equipment accessories (decals, mud flaps, cameras, lights)
• Follow verbal and written work instructions
• Attention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standards
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Must have basic knowledge of DC electricity and hydraulics, including basic print understanding
• Must have basic computer skills and be able to use an iPad or laptop to input findings guided by user friendly programs.
• Basic understanding and usage of tools such as Multimeter, pressure tester and analyzer.
• Must be able to learn to drive and use a forklift
• Must be able to lift the safe and permissible weight.
• Must be able to withstand standing all day and walking long distances
• Must be able to stoop and work at low positions
• Aid in maintaining inventory accuracy through data entry
• Must be able to work overtime and/or 7 days a week
• Regular attendance required
• All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned
