Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking a Mechanic I in a manufacturing environment to perform basic repairs, calibration, and maintenance on equipment. You will lead and assist Assemblers, diagnose issues, and support troubleshooting and safety.

Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet production goals. The role requires basic knowledge of hydraulics and DC electricity, plus the ability to use tools and input data via iPad or laptop.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of basic experience with hydraulics, electrical, gas and diesel systems.
  • Strong math skills and basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Complete repair and service requirements as delineated on sales change orders.
  • Install various equipment accessories (decals, mud flaps, cameras, lights)
  • Follow verbal and written work instructions
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Must have basic knowledge of DC electricity and hydraulics, including basic print understanding
  • Must be able to learn to drive and use a forklift
  • Aiding in maintaining inventory accuracy through data entry
