Responsibilities

• Serve as lead technical expert for Epic modules and resolve highly complex issues with significant impact
• Collaborate with Epic technical support and manage resolution efforts
• Develop functional objectives for the Epic team focusing on system integrity, security and compliance
• Provide daily priorities and guidance to Epic analysts including hiring and performance decisions
• Mentor and train analysts on advanced techniques and problem solving
• Assess new processes and tools to enhance Epic performance and user experience
• Perform related duties as required under applicable laws

Mentors and coaches team members, exercises considerable judgement on high-impact decisions, and collaborates strategically with leadership to define and implement the long-term vision for Epic applications, ensuring system integrity and compliance.

Job Responsibility

• Participates in the strategic planning, execution, and long-term vision for Epic EHR application configuration, optimization, and sustainment across the health system, overseeing complex projects and recommending innovative solutions.


• Oversees complex projects and activities from conception through successful implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and architectural standards.


• Serves as the lead technical expert for assigned Epic modules, exercising considerable judgment to resolve highly complex issues with profound operational impact, and acting as the primary liaison and escalation point for critical challenges.


• Collaborates directly with Epic technical support and manages resolution efforts.


• Works with Manager to develop functional objectives and principles for the Epic team, assuming primary responsibility for ensuring system integrity, security, and compliance, and contributing to broader departmental and divisional strategy for technology utilization.


• Establishes daily priorities and provides expert work guidance to Epic analysts, ensuring timely and high-quality task completion, while contributing to personnel decisions encompassing hiring, promotion, and performance evaluations.


• Mentors, coaches, and trains analysts on advanced technical skills, methodologies, and problem-solving approaches.


• Evaluates and recommends new processes, tools, techniques, and services that enhance Epic application performance, user experience, and operational efficiency.

Job Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.


• Five to seven (5-7) years of relevant experience and progressive experience where team leadership was demonstrated, required.


• Epic certification, required.
