Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal EO/IR Systems Engineer in Melbourne, FL. The role is on-site with a 9/80 schedule and no Hybrid/Remote options, contributing to advanced electro-optical systems development.

The engineer will design architectures, perform requirement allocations, and coordinate with suppliers and program stakeholders to ensure TRL readiness and successful integration of mission planning solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 5 years of related experience, or Master's with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electro-optical systems architectures and perform hardware/software integration and testing.
• Allocate, trace and flow down requirements from system to components.
• Perform MBSE and capture interfaces, behaviors and structures.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to integrate mission planning solutions.
• Develop supplier documentation, performance specs, and statements of work.
