Job summary

Leidos in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking an Industrial Operations Environment Test Manager to lead a diverse environmental test team within the CHGB program. The role oversees test technicians, drives skills development, and ensures performance of complex avionics and guidance test activities.

The position requires strong leadership, engineering judgment, and DoD test environment familiarity. Residency in the North Alabama area or relocation willingness is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years with leadership experience.
• 2+ years of supervising or leading teams/projects.
• Experience in MIL-STD-810 test environments.
• Background in Manufacturing and/or Test Operations.
• Ability to read Mechanical/Electrical drawings, schematics, specifications.
• Experience with thermal, pressure, acceleration, and vibration test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage an Environmental Test Technician team of ~8 technicians across multiple disciplines.
• Develop team skills, mentor career growth, and drive retention using enterprise tools.
• Conduct performance appraisals and identify candidates for promotion.
• Execute test procedures to support integration and vehicle delivery.
• Analyze test results and document non-conformances; collaborate on resolution.
• Coordinate with Test Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to meet objectives.
