Position Details

Job Title: Lead Environmental Service Aide

Employment Type: Full time

Shift: Day Shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with every other weekend rotation)

Location: Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, MD

Position Purpose

The Lead Environmental Service Aide (housekeeping) performs, assists in assignment of, and ensures quality of housekeeping duties for the hospital's Environmental Services Department. As a "Lead Environmental Service Aide" you will:

  • Lead Environmental Service Aide is guided by basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures, operation and use of department equipment and supplies.
  • Responsible for the timely, courteous, and competent services rendered in a safe manner for patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
  • Accepts additional assignments related to support functions as is needed to provide service excellence to patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
  • May also be assigned at times to receive guidance and instruction from the Nursing Department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required

Experience

2 to 4 years of environmental services experience required.

Equipment

Good physical condition and a general ability to work with hand and power tools. Able to work independently.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $18.11 - $25.35. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
