Job summary

Quanterra Environmental Consulting seeks an experienced Environmental Remediation Engineer to lead subsurface characterization, remedial design, and oversight for contaminated sites across the Powder River Basin and surrounding regions.

You'll manage multi-million-dollar CERCLA and RCRA projects, interface with EPA and state regulators, and direct field investigations and remedial construction, with a strong focus on hydrogeology and remediation technologies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, or Geology (or 5+ years if B.S. in related field)
• P.E. license in Civil, Environmental, or Geological Engineering (Wyoming reciprocity within 6 months)
• 8+ years of direct environmental remediation experience; CERCLA/RCRA project leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead subsurface characterization including soil/groundwater sampling and well installation
• Design and implement remedial actions; select remediation technologies
• Develop RI/FS/RD/RA plans compliant with CERCLA and RCRA regulations
• Conduct groundwater and vapor intrusion modeling using FEFLOW, COMSOL, MODFLOW
• Direct field investigations and remedial construction; manage contractors
• Prepare technical reports and regulatory presentations
• Manage project budgets ($500K–$5M+) and timelines with stakeholders
