Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental science, biology, ecology, environmental planning, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience, with environmental consulting preferred.
  • 1+ year in an Assistant Project Manager or similar coordination role.
  • Working knowledge of CEQA and NEPA and related regulations.
  • Experience supporting environmental permitting and client-facing project work.
  • Technical background in biology, environmental policy, or land use planning.
  • Familiarity with California ecosystems and regulatory environments.
  • Ability to coordinate with technical staff or subconsultants.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating environmental projects from initiation to completion.
  • Support preparation/review of CEQA/NEPA documents.
  • Assist with regulatory permit applications (e.g., CWA, ESA) and related filings.
  • Apply knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations for compliance.
  • Communicate with clients, regulators, and stakeholders as responsibilities grow.
  • Participate in meetings on project status, permitting strategies, milestones.
  • Coordinate technical staff and subconsultants to track tasks and deliverables.
  • Deliver environmental work products within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Conduct technical writing, editing, and review of analyses and permit packages.
  • Assist with proposal development, including scopes of work and budgets.
