Job summary

Navarro County Constable Pct 1 seeks a Deputy Constable/Environmental Investigator to enforce nuisance abatement and environmental crime laws across Navarro County. You will gather evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare reports for the District Attorney and Development Services.

The role involves fieldwork, arrests when required, and testifying in court. You will stay current with Texas regulations and may lead environmental investigations and others as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental crime investigations and nuisance abatement is preferred.
• Familiarity with criminal and civil procedures and reporting requirements.
• Ability to operate independently and maintain detailed records.

Responsibilities

• Investigates environmental crimes and public nuisances; coordinates with other agencies.
• Conducts fieldwork, interviews witnesses/suspects, collects evidence and preserves samples.
• Prepares reports, subpoenas, warrants, and documentation for prosecution.
• Testifies in court and provides technical assistance to public and agencies.
• Patrols and conducts inspections; may supervise at crime scenes.
• Maintains compliance with Texas laws and department policies.
