Job summary

Hilcorp Energy in Anchorage, AK, seeks a Waste Subject Matter Expert to lead contaminated sites and waste management across Hilcorp Alaska assets and operations. You will coordinate permits and ensure compliance with DOT, RCRA, UIC, TSCA, EPCRA, ADEC programs, and mentor field staff.

The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, project management, and the ability to manage multiple sites, budgets, and audits, while working with internal clients and government agencies.

Qualifications

• Five or more years regulatory and environmental oil and gas experience, preferably in Alaska.
• Five or more years contaminated sites, waste and UIC experience with federal and state programs, Alaska preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to present technical info to non-technical audiences.
• Able to manage multiple tasks under pressure and work with internal clients and agencies.
• Supervisory experience preferred and proficient with MS Office.
• Willing to travel to field sites and work in remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for contaminated sites and waste management for Hilcorp Alaska.
• Coordinate permitting and compliance with internal clients and environmental specialists.
• Develop and maintain strategies for contaminated sites cleanup and waste handling.
• Manage budgets and project plans for permitting and compliance efforts.
• Train office and field personnel on contaminated sites and waste requirements.
• Assist in audits, inspections, and liaison with government agencies.
