Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking an experienced Senior Enterprise Systems Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of critical enterprise systems across Windows and Linux environments. You will oversee virtualization, cloud platforms, and IaC tooling to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure.

The role requires strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash), exposure to CI/CD, and a deep understanding of disaster recovery and HA strategies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 7 years related work experience.
• Expertise in systems architecture and design for enterprise environments, with strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux.
• Proficiency in virtualization and cloud platforms such as VMware, Hyper‑V, AWS, and Azure, along with infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience in automation and scripting using PowerShell, Python, and Bash, as well as networking fundamentals including DNS, TCP/IP, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Strong understanding of security and compliance practices, including identity management, zero‑trust principles, and regulatory frameworks, plus familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Knowledge of CI/CD integration for system deployments and disaster recovery/high availability solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and approve system architecture and integration standards.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for adoption.
• Lead and mentor systems engineering team members.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (development, operations, security).
• Manage resource allocation and team performance.
• Oversee deployment and configuration of enterprise systems.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and compliance standards.
• Implement security policies and monitor compliance.
• Ensure system reliability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Monitor system performance and optimize for efficiency.
• Prepare reports and metrics for leadership.
