Job summary

Laravel seeks a Database Migrations Engineer to own and run migrations for enterprise customers on Laravel Cloud. You will engage on calls, manage the end‑to‑end execution, and drive the productisation of repeatable migration patterns across MySQL and Postgres.

You will also own partnerships (PlanetScale, AWS DMS) and build runbooks, automation, and documentation to scale knowledge across Sales, CS and engineering teams in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL in customer-facing migrations.
• Direct experience leading migrations with enterprise customers.
• Ability to productise repeatable migration patterns.
• Excellent written and asynchronous communication in a fully remote team.
• Willingness to define and shape the migration function going forward.

Responsibilities

• Execute database migrations with enterprise and Private Cloud customers, owning the technical execution.
• Own the PlanetScale relationship and migration work from an ad‑hoc state, delivering autonomously.
• Productise common migration patterns and package them with documentation and logic.
• Automate recurring migration requests and reduce manual effort.
• Own broader app and service migrations onto Private Cloud when feasible.
• Write runbooks and reference material to boost Sales, CS and engineering.
• Monitor competitive offerings and advise on necessary product changes.
