Under Armour in Baltimore is seeking a senior Data & AI Governance Lead to strengthen enterprise governance and scale responsible AI across the organisation. You will define frameworks, policies, and operating models, and partner with business, technology, legal, privacy, security, compliance, and risk teams.

You will translate governance requirements into roadmaps, drive adoption, and measure progress with KPIs.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with extensive experience in data governance, AI governance, risk management.
• 8+ years in data management, governance or related field; leadership in cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience with ERP, metadata, workflow platforms and enterprise technology.
• Knowledge of data quality, master data management, metadata management, stewardship.

About the Role

The role is responsible for strengthening enterprise data governance and helping scale responsible AI governance across the organisation. It defines and improves governance frameworks, policies, standards, controls, and operating processes that enable trusted data, responsible AI use, clear decision rights, and measurable adoption. As part of the Data Governance team, the role partners with business, technology, legal, privacy, security, compliance, and risk teams to translate governance requirements into practical roadmaps, system and process changes, role-based accountability, and sustainable operating models.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain data and AI governance frameworks, including decision rights, governance roles, escalation paths, and accountability models.
• Define and implement policies, standards, and procedures for data governance and responsible AI governance.
• Facilitate governance councils, working groups, and stakeholder forums to drive alignment, prioritisation, issue resolution, and adoption of standards.
• Manage the data and AI governance roadmap, including priorities, milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery reporting.
• Oversee governance-related system changes, process updates, role assignments, and adoption activities that support sustainable operations.
• Partner with business and technology teams to embed governance requirements into platforms, workflows, approvals, metadata, controls, and reporting.
• Define, publish, and monitor KPIs for governance maturity, roadmap progress, adoption, data quality, and responsible AI effectiveness.
• Assess data and AI governance maturity, identify gaps, recommend improvements, and track remediation.
• Act as a subject matter expert for governance concepts, definitions, standards, metadata, stewardship practices, and responsible AI oversight.
• Partner with Data Stewards, business owners, product teams, and technology partners to improve metadata management, governance processes, data integrity, and enterprise data sharing.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Data Management, Analytics or a related field with 8 years of relevant experience in data management, data stewardship, data governance, AI governance, risk management or a related field
• Or a Master's degree with typically 6 years of relevant experience, or typically 12 years of relevant work experience without a degree.
• 2+ years of experience using an ERP, master data, metadata, workflow, governance, or enterprise technology platform.
• Experience using data governance, AI governance, process improvement, and change management methods.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional governance initiatives and manage intake, prioritisation, and delivery with limited oversight.
• Demonstrated ability to manage roadmaps, coordinate cross-functional delivery, and translate governance requirements into system, process, reporting, and role-based operating model changes.
• Deep understanding and demonstrated ability to adapt to complex international business environments and situations.
• Strong knowledge of master data management, data governance, data quality, metadata management, stewardship, and responsible AI governance.
• Understands the value of data quality, trusted data, responsible AI practices, and governance accountability across functions.
• ITIL v4 Foundation Certificate.

Preferred Skills

• SAP master data acumen.

Workplace

• Must reside within commuting distance from the Baltimore HQ office.
• Hybrid work schedule requiring 4 days in-office per week.

Salary

• Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time; initial placement is based on relevant knowledge, skills and experience.
