Job summary

AltaGas SEMCO - Business Applications Administrator position focuses on administering, configuring, supporting, and continuously improving enterprise business applications. The role operates as a senior individual contributor, troubleshooting complex issues and mentoring others to optimize processes across multiple systems.

The candidate should have 4+ years of experience in enterprise apps support, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive improvements in workflows and system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise business applications
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Experience resolving complex application and integration issues
• Strong understanding of business processes and system interdependencies
• Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives and system improvements
• Preferred: experience supporting applications such as OpenGrid, OnBase, Selectron IVR, enQuesta, or similar enterprise business systems.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage and support enterprise business applications.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system and integration issues using structured troubleshooting techniques.
• Serve as a functional and technical resource for team members and business users.
• Analyze business requirements and implement system enhancements aligned to best practices.
• Identify and lead improvements to workflows, automation, and system performance.
• Evaluate system capabilities and recommend solutions that improve operational outcomes.
• Lead portions of application upgrades, deployments, and testing efforts.
• Validate system changes to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Support change management processes including documentation, approvals, and implementation.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate operational needs into system solutions.
• Work directly with vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements.
• Support cross-functional initiatives impacting multiple systems or teams.
• Develop and maintain system documentation and user guides.
• Provide guidance and informal mentorship to less experienced team members.
• Participate in or lead components of application-related projects and integrations.
• Assist in process improvement and system optimization initiatives.
• Monitor system usage and performance to ensure alignment with business objectives.
