Job Title: Enterprise Architect
Location: Remote
Red Cedar Consultancy, LC, a fast-growing IT services firm, is currently looking for a smart and self-motivated Enterprise Architect with the ability to take on and overcome challenges in a dynamic and collaborative team environment. The incumbent should have between 7-12+ years of experience working as an Enterprise Architect.
Job Function:
Serve as the lead subject matter expert and advisor in support of establishing a modern enterprise architecture and governance structures. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in assessing the current state of enterprise architecture, researching opportunities for improvements, and advising on a roadmap for the future state EA, spanning all levels (enterprise, segment, solution), multiple areas of architecture (e.g., mission/business, security, networking, applications, systems, infrastructure), and multiple special domains (e.g., aviation security, cloud, mobile, management).
- Provide strategic enterprise architectural services: Conduct research and analysis of specific capabilities or technology areas, emerging technologies, and mature technologies; provide thought leadership for existing and future initiatives.
- Apply and enforce enterprise architectural principles: Ensure alignment of programs and projects with TSA and DHS enterprise architectures through standards and reference models.
- Provide and improve services for business, data, system/application, technical, and infrastructure architectural reviews.
- Offer solution recommendations, including conducting project, program, technical, and enterprise studies and analyses of alternatives (AoA).
- Research and advise on to-be architectures, develop and document baseline and target state artifacts, transition plans, and roadmaps.
- Provide enterprise security architecture forward thinking and thought leadership: Collaborate with CISO and IAD to integrate security principles with program- and project-level assessments.
- Offer expertise and recommendations on addressing security concerns with emerging technologies and special domains (e.g., AI, IoT, biometrics, mobile, cloud), including threat modeling, cybersecurity architecture views, and adherence to NIST cybersecurity frameworks.
- Develop and execute EA Governance Services: Create an integrated governance model aligned with TSA and DHS processes.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Enhancing TSA EA maturity and supporting EA performance improvements via the enterprise architecture management maturity framework (EAMMF) and reporting activities.
- Providing current EA information to decision-makers and maintaining/updating TSA and DHS EA repositories.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience required
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including MS PowerApps, PowerBI, Automation, and Visio
- Experience with ServiceNow, EA tools, and embedded architecture
- Cloud experience (preferred): working with CSPs like AWS, Azure, Salesforce, and DevSecOps
- Experience with EA repositories
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers and staff
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance
