Job summary

Merjent, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our growing team. You will work with engineers and project managers to develop plans, specifications, CAD drawings, and design documentation for multidisciplinary projects.

The role is hands-on, supporting project delivery and tackling engineering tasks to navigate challenges. The position is full-time and benefits-eligible, with a salary between $114,200 and $161,900 per year.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience. Civil design experience preferred.
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D CAD software and GIS (ArcMap).
• Strong MS Office skills and ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and development of engineering designs, construction plans, specifications, and technical reports for multidisciplinary projects.
• Independently develop and oversee both simple and complex designs, exhibits, & details.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide oversight to support the engineering team.
• Use computer-aided design (AutoCAD) software to develop and modify technical drawings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support separate services and innovative initiatives.
• Identify project risks, design conflicts, and constructability concerns and proactively develop recommendations for resolution.
• May require some limited field time as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
