Responsibilities

  • Enforce and analyze operations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Manage test requirements for development engines.
  • Oversee cost and schedule of assigned engines.
  • Daily interface with site support, assembly, instrumentation, evaluation, systems, test, engineering design, materials/fulfillment, tooling and project personnel, and hourly workforce.
  • Coordinate activities to schedule and execute engines focusing on integrity, safety, quality, delivery and cost initiatives.
  • Refine and validate testing processes, data systems, facilities and procedures for safety and quality.
  • Provide engine status briefings to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate with customers and leadership to ensure milestones are met on time and on budget.
  • Ensure engine test setups conform to latest quality and FAA regulations; sign test site conformities (8130-9).
  • Create and manage the engine test schedule through development.
  • Deliver results using a Flight Deck approach in a dynamic environment.

Job Description Summary Test Engineering is a hands-on engineering role that actively engages on the shop floor and test cell to ensure the collaboration of multiple Peebles Test Operation (PTO) teams in executing defined test requirements efficiently and in accordance with regulatory standards and GE Aerospace policies and procedures. Full-engine Development Test at PTO will span projects across many different product lines and types of tests, including Certification and Engineering-driven tests. This role works with many teams to ensure the test process meets the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC). The Test Engineer will be responsible for test execution and project management during the Test phase, ensuring adherence to project timelines and goals.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Enforce and analyze operations to ensure a safe working environment
  • Responsible for managing test requirements for development engines
  • Responsible for cost and schedule of assigned engines.
  • Daily interface with: Peebles site support teams, assembly teams, instrumentation, evaluation, systems, test, engineering design, materials/fulfillment, tooling and project personnel, as well as the hourly work force.
  • Engagement in activities that will assist in the scheduling and execution of engines while focusing on: Integrity, Safety, Quality, Delivery and Over-all Cost Initiatives.
  • Refine, develop, and validate all aspects of the testing process including data systems, test facilities, and procedures to prioritize safety and quality as well as efficiency
  • Provide engine status briefings to senior business leadership
  • Coordinate with customers and business leadership to ensure all key development milestones are complete on time, on budget, and to the highest quality
  • Ensure engine test setups conform to latest quality and FAA regulations – this role will include signing test site conformities, 8130-9, for assigned engines
  • Create and manage the engine test schedule through the development process
  • Use a Flight Deck approach to deliver results and create solutions in a dynamic environment
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Design Engineering.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this position is $95,000 - $159,000 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
