Job summary

CBTS is seeking a Senior System Administrator to own and optimize our Linux/Windows compute environments. You will drive configuration management, automation adoption, and continuous improvement across operations.

You will ensure security baseline compliance, patching, and incident RCA follow-through while mentoring junior engineers and upholding change-control discipline.

Role Purpose: Owns advanced system administration responsibilities across server & compute environments ensuring stable, secure, scalable and well-governed infrastructure operations by driving configuration management, platform hygiene, automation adoption and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead system administration for Linux/Windows compute environments including configuration management, OS performance tuning, patching, upgrades and lifecycle maintenance.
• Implement automation scripts / workflows for routine ops, deployment, configuration changes & environment hygiene reduction of manual work.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting for compute platform incidents, support RCA actions and ensure closure of high impact issues.
• Support capacity planning, resource optimization and compute cost optimization with platform teams.
• Ensure enterprise security baseline compliance, vulnerability remediation and system hardening controls.
• Review changes, validate implementation quality, coach junior engineers and uplift operational maturity.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements, including change control discipline, access management standards, and audit trail maintenance.
