Job summary

Venture Global LNG in Plaquemines, LA is seeking a Lead Engineer, Structural to join our engineering team and lead structural design efforts for LNG facilities.

The role requires 15+ years in refining/petrochemical/LNG projects, a PE license preferred, and travel under 25%. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and regulators is essential, with accountability for technical integrity and project interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• 15+ years of experience in refining/petrochemical/LNG projects; EPC experience preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (NCEES) preferred; travel <25%.

Summary

We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Lead Engineer, Structural to join engineering team in Point Celeste, LA.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

• LDOT and ACOE regulatory interface
• Provides input to weekly site engineering report
• Review surveyor deliverables and assist with fit up / interface misses at site
• Provide Technical input to field RFI
• Coordinate with contractor and subcontractor for issue resolution

Qualifications

Required experience

• 15 or more years relevant experience in refining and petrochemical industry, LNG Project, preferably with 2 years EPC experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer with NCEES records preferred
• Travel < 25% expected.
• Self directs work with limited supervision.
• Work with project team as representative and coordinates work within discipline department.
• Adjusts to varying demands of work and manage changes.
• Skill in oral and written communication
• Works collaboratively across departments and involves others in solving problems. Initiates meetings within own team, other disciplines or internal customers for clarity on work.
• Serves as technical resource and point of contact for external or internal customers.

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering minimum required.
