We are committed to our mission to improve lives because, every day, we witness the enormous impact of our efforts on the world around us.
Join our Aerospace team where engineering excellence meets customer impact. As our Lead Engineer, RF & Test, you will be the primary subject matter expert for all RF design, analysis, development, and qualification activities, leading complex technical programs from concept through validation. Working closely with customers, internal engineering teams, and external testing partners, you will play a critical role in delivering high-performance radome solutions while influencing future technology roadmaps and advancing industry-leading capabilities.
Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
Lead the RF design, development, and performance analysis of new radome products, employing specialized modeling and simulation software, to verify compliance with customer specifications, FAA regulations, and other standards. Direct RF engineering activities throughout the product development process, working closely with Engineering teams during Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews to ensure the successful delivery of RF-compliant, certifiable, and high-performance radome solutions.
Support business development and proposal efforts by providing RF design and performance data to support cost estimates and technical solutions. Assess compliance gaps against customer RF specifications and develop testing strategies, validation plans, and engineering approaches as needed.
Provide technical leadership in the review and interpretation of component-, element-, and system-level test data to ensure conformance with customer specifications and program requirements. Develop comprehensive RF test plans and testing architectures to validate radome performance across manufacturing sites and approved external laboratories. In conjunction with Compliance functions, assess, audit, and manage the qualification of third-party RF testing organizations, and approve external test plans.
Represent the organization in industry forums, working groups, and technical bodies related to RF design, development, and testing for radome applications. Partner with SGR entities to advance our leadership in radome design and development.
Provide leadership and technical oversight for the maintenance of SOA and the effective operation of RF test ranges, including calibration management and preventive maintenance planning. Collaborate with Quality and Operations to address testing requirements and ensure accurate, reliable test execution. Interpret and communicate RF performance results through comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders and customers. Lead RF-related investigations, contributing technical expertise to defect resolution, corrective actions, and decision-making processes
Direct and coordinate all testing initiatives for the Design Engineering organization, including mechanical, physico-chemical, and microstructural testing activities, leveraging both internal capabilities and qualified external laboratories. Lead the Design Engineering internal audit process and drive compliance with AS9100 quality standards, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement objectives.
