Qualifications

• Strong hands-on software engineering background with recent production coding experience.
• Experience building modern applications with React.
• Prior experience within a hedge fund or buy-side asset management environment.
• Understanding of securities, portfolio, trading, or middle-office workflows.
• Experience working with relational databases.
• Ability to take ownership of applications from design through production.
• Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work onsite in New York City five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mission-critical investment technology applications using Java and modern application frameworks.
• Build responsive user-facing functionality using React.
• Develop services and supporting functionality using Java and Python.
• Build and enhance applications supporting securities, portfolios, trade flows, risk, and middle-office processes.
• Work across application, database, cloud, and infrastructure layers as needed.
• Develop and manage data integrations involving relational databases and modern data platforms.
• Contribute to AWS infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Use modern AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software delivery.
