Job summary

Ameriprise Financial is seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior/Lead Full Stack Engineer to join the Asset Management – Investment Technology team in NYC. You will modernize and support core investment platforms, focusing on scalable cloud-based architecture, full stack delivery, and robust engineering practices.

You will work with global stakeholders across investment, operations, products, and technology teams to drive solutions supporting portfolio management and trading.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in a lead role.
• Strong command of full stack development: JavaScript (React/Angular), Node.js or Java/.NET/ Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS architecture and services (Glue, Lambda, API gateway, IAM, S3, CloudWatch).
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Github Actions, Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong API development and integration experience.
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Selenium).

Responsibilities

• Drive full stack application development across cloud-native and hybrid architectures.
• Design and implement scalable APIs with security, monitoring and logging.
• Develop rich UI components using React or Angular.
• Manage AWS infrastructure components and CI/CD pipelines.
• Own production environment operations and deployments.
• Lead code reviews and ensure standards compliance.
• Provide mentorship and governance to development teams.
• Analyze production issues and drive root-cause analysis.
