Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a Project Lead Engineer for Global Powertrain Validation to lead and coordinate validation activities across the product lifecycle for internal combustion engine programs.

You will serve as the focal point between engineering, validation teams, suppliers, program management, and leadership, driving DVPs, software releases, failure analysis, and issue resolution while communicating complex technical information to both engineering teams and executive leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product development within automotive sector or related experience.
• Understanding of powertrain systems and product development processes.
• Outstanding organizational, planning and tracking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and guide activities to ensure timely results per specification.
• Ensure FRACAS entries are completed, and issues resolved.
• Align decisions within the project core team with the project plan.
• Define, track, and analyze KPI test metrics (coverage, pass/fail, inflow/outflow).
• Initiate validation plan development and risk analysis for priority items.
• Identify discrepancies between validation direction and project management.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer between specialists and team members.
• Set Engineering Team meeting agendas for awareness or escalation.
• Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
