Job summary

GE Aerospace in Grand Rapids is seeking a Lead Engineer - Engineering Metrics & Operations to drive initiatives that improve the effectiveness and operating rhythm of the Engineering function. You will develop, maintain, and analyze metrics, dashboards, and performance indicators to support decision-making and leadership reviews.

Coordinate across engineering, program management, quality, supply chain, finance, and other functions to ensure alignment on priorities, actions, and deliverables;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years in engineering operations, project execution, program coordination, or a related role.
• Experience developing and managing metrics, dashboards, and performance reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple functions and influence outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship status required.

Responsibilities

• Drive initiatives to improve engineering effectiveness and operating rhythm.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze engineering metrics, dashboards, and performance indicators.
• Coordinate across engineering, program management, quality, supply chain, finance, and other functions to align priorities and deliverables.
• Support departmental operations planning and execution, including tracking milestones, action items, risks, and dependencies.
• Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives with timely follow-up and clear stakeholder communication.
• Evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency, visibility, and execution discipline.
• Prepare concise status updates and executive-ready summaries on performance, risks, and progress against objectives.
