Job summary

Rochester Gas & Elec Corp in the United States is seeking a Lead Engineer - Standards to shape distribution construction and design standards for AVANGRID's overhead and underground lines. You will write engineering specifications for electrical equipment and act as SME on cables, transformers, switchgear, and related gear, guiding teams with a broad, innovative perspective.

The role requires a ABET-accredited degree and at least 7 years of engineering experience; a professional engineer license

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET accredited college/university.
• 7 years' experience performing engineering duties.
• Specialized advanced training is also required or graduate level engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop distribution construction and design standards.
• Write engineering specifications for electrical equipment.
• Act as SME for distribution equipment (cable, transformers, switches, poles, fuses, etc.).
• Lead engineering teams to complete tasks and projects.
• Mentor other engineers in standards engineering methodology.
