Avangrid seeks a Lead Engineer - Electric Systems Engineering in Rochester, NY to oversee a portfolio of projects, ensure regulatory and company standard compliance, and work with cross-functional teams.

The role reports to the Manager, Projects Unit and requires 7+ years of experience in engineering, plus PE licensure is preferred. Office-based with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• +7 years minimum relevant experience.
• Professional Engineering License preferred.
• Master’s Degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead and execute detailed engineering projects from scoping to closeout.
• Review calculations and designs to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Review and maintain engineering documentation and drawings for accuracy.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors and contractors to align with policies.
• Ensure milestones, quality and timely delivery of deliverables.
• Drive process improvements and standardization initiatives.
• Conduct site visits and coordinate project meetings.
