Current is a remote-first agency with teams across the US, delivering digital experiences for diverse clients. We seek a senior technical lead to drive architecture, delivery, and best practices across engagements.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and help shape the future of engineering in a fast-paced environment. Base compensation ranges from $120,000 to $145,000 annually, reflecting experience, location, and skill fit.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of software or web development experience, ideal in an agency/consulting environment.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, PHP and modern front-end/back-end frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, Node.js).
• Advanced experience with Drupal and WordPress CMS platforms; Drupal architecture, APIs, and custom module development.
• Deep understanding of the LAMP stack including PHP and MySQL.
• Experience building scalable applications, integrations, and API-driven solutions.
• Experience with cloud hosting platforms (AWS, Acquia, Pantheon, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong knowledge of Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment best practices.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the technical architecture, development, and delivery of complex digital projects across multiple client engagements

What You’ll Bring

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized development environments
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and DevOps practices
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments such as Scrum or Kanban
• Experience leading engineering teams or mentoring developers across projects
• Strong debugging, optimization, and performance-tuning experience
• Familiarity with Jira, Workfront, or similar project management tools

The target range of base compensation for this role is $120,000 - $145,000 annually. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
