Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to own a portfolio of endpoint security platforms and automation programs across Mac, Windows, Linux, and virtual desktops. You will set technical direction, drive day-to-day execution, and stay hands-on in the code while mentoring others.

The role emphasizes secure software development, design reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with security and infrastructure teams, leveraging CI/CD and GitOps to deliver trusted controls at scale.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more major programming languages and ability to ship production software.
• Hands-on enterprise experience managing endpoints: Mac, Windows, virtual desktop, or Linux.
• Proven experience with containers, cloud platforms, and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
• Proficiency across the full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
• Working knowledge of secure development practices to design audit-defensible controls.
• Experience as a technical lead, driving execution while remaining hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship production-quality software across Mac, Windows, Linux, and virtual desktop environments.
• Architect and operate a managed binary allowlisting platform via infrastructure-as-code.
• Develop and maintain cross-platform endpoint authentication tooling.
• Modernize system policy deployment using GitOps, with automated pipelines.
• Drive technical direction and ensure delivery against milestones with high code standards.
• Conduct rigorous design and code reviews, mentoring engineers.
• Identify manual processes and architect automation to scale across the endpoint estate.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to align with enterprise standards.
• Apply secure development practices across the full SDLC.
