Job summary

Sierra Medical Center in Reno, NV seeks a Lead Tech - Endo to support RNs and physicians during invasive diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures. The role requires extensive knowledge of EUS endoscopic GI and EBUS pulmonary procedures, and the ability to maintain and troubleshoot the interventional US equipment platform.

Responsibilities include preparing the GI Lab, managing supplies/PAR levels, reprocessing instruments per policy, and scheduling personnel to meet department needs.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Operating Room Technician certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a GI Lab.
• Current BLS certification.
• SGNA Technician Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room in a timely manner with all anticipated endoscopes, instruments, supplies and equipment for each individual GI Lab procedure.
• Organizes endoscope, instruments and supplies on back table for the procedure; anticipates needs during advanced endoscopic procedures.
• Adapts procedures and supplies to meet patient needs across age groups.
• Performs services under supervision; demonstrates knowledge of EUS/EBUS/ERCP procedures.
