CARE Veterinary Center in Frederick, MD, part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, provides 24/7 emergency and specialty care for dogs and cats in the DC metro and tri-state area. We offer internal medicine, surgery, rehabilitation, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

We seek an Associate Veterinarian to join our Emergency & Critical Care team as Department Head, leading staff, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining high medical standards.

Qualifications

• DVM degree and active veterinary license in good standing.
• Experience in emergency and critical care preferred.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee efficient operation of the ER/CC department and ensure high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with leadership, clinicians, and ER staff to maintain a positive work environment.
• Support training programs and manage clinician schedules and onboarding.
