Job summary

CNY Fertility is seeking an Embryologist to join our Norfolk lab, performing comprehensive laboratory duties across all embryology processes, including oocyte handling, fertilization checks, embryo culture, cryopreservation, and transfers.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a biological or medical laboratory science and 2–3 years of Embryology experience; the role includes weekend and holiday rotation and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical, medical or reproductive laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Embryology lab.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in fast paced environments.
• Must be able to lift 25lbs.
• Adequate vision or corrective lenses for sample identification.

Responsibilities

• Daily quality control, media preparation and dish preparation.
• Microscope and pipettor use.
• Use of other lab equipment to complete procedures: balance, pH meter, CO2 monitor, labeler, etc.
• Oocyte retrieval and denuding of oocytes.
• Embryo cryopreservation and warming.
• Fertilization checks and embryo transfers.
• ICSI and conventional fertilization techniques.
• Use EMR to schedule procedures, complete tasks, and navigate patient charts.
• Understand cryopreservation and storage of specimens.
• Assist in cleaning and stocking the laboratory.
• Perform PESA/TESE sperm retrievals and search.
